The new Toyota RAV4 Adventure longs for terrain. At the same time, he pays tribute to Land Cruiser – Podkapotou.sk

Does the RAV4 model need a terrain tuned version? That you even ask. Of course. When they can wagon, so can an SUV.

Toyota is adding a new version to the RAV4 called Adventure, which complements the existing Active, Comfort, Selection and Executive versions, and with its distinctive, rugged design, it announces its readiness to go anywhere in the field and on the road.

RAV4 Adventure makes clear its intentions with a functional design of the front part. The newly conceived pure black radiator grille is more visually striking.

The Toyota logo has been relocated from the leading edge of the bonnet to the middle, where it is seated on horizontal rails intersecting the mask. The incorporation of the front fog lights into the new black frames, as well as the new extension under the bumper with a shiny silver finish, contribute to the vehicle’s firmer stance and the appearance of the off-road SUV.

The resulting effect is multiplied by wider rims around the wheel arches and new 19-inch alloy wheels with a matt gray surface. The corresponding silver extension can also be found under the rear bumper. The RAV4 Adventure version will also be offered in a new two-tone paint in a combination of a green body in the Urban Khaki shade. The roof, front pillars and rear spoiler will be in a gray Dynamic shade – paying homage to the iconic light roof of the classic Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser.

In the cabin, the special design of the seat upholstery with the use of smooth black faux leather and deep stitching of the backrests and seats with contrasting orange seams impresses. The RAV4 Adventure version is also equipped with sill rails.

The RAV4 Adventure is powered by a fourth-generation hybrid system from Toyota, standard with intelligent all-wheel drive thanks to the installation of another compact electric motor on the rear axle. Power of 225 hp, a bunch of torque from three electric motors and at the same time high thermal efficiency of a large four-cylinder with a volume of 2.5 liters. Thanks to the AWD-i drive, it is also possible to tow braked trailers weighing up to 1,650 kg.

RAV4 2022

In addition, the new model brings elements of modernization prepared for RAV4 in the model version 2022, such as e.g. new LED projector headlights or LED front fog lamps. In the case of both hybrid and pure petrol versions, new ten-spoke alloy wheel discs are available in silver for the Comfort equipment line, resp. glossy black for Selection equipment. The cab emphasizes even greater comfort and practicality with new LED lighting, electric front passenger seat adjustment, backlit window control switches and new USB-C ports for charging phones and mobile devices on the road.

On European markets, the new Toyota RAV4 Adventure, together with the modernized RAV4 model line, will go on sale in October and the first vehicles will arrive in the first quarter of 2022. They will arrive in Slovakia in the first quarter of next year, starting in November.
