The film Karel was originally supposed to have its premiere last year, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, it will not reach Czech cinemas until October 7 this year. Last Saturday, however, he managed to have his preview in Pilsen. It was in the hometown of the legendary singer that the first approximately 3,000 viewers watched the documentary. But if the weather was better, more would surely arrive.

His wife Ivana also appeared in the company for the first time since Karel Gott’s death. For the last two years, she has not walked much among people, she has only met her immediate family and friends. Only now has she taken a groundbreaking step. And she even spoke to the audience. “I am very happy to be here with you. Thank you for the preview in his hometown. Let the film warm your heart and let you like it. ” Gott said.

And it was clear from her that she still hadn’t gotten enough through the painful wound. Even as she spoke to Karl’s fans, she could feel the emotion in her voice, and she didn’t hide it at all. The still unceasing sadness was also symbolized by the black clothes she wore at the preview of the documentary 2 years after her husband’s death. But despite a significant wound to her heart, the widow overcame a few smiles a few times.
