Covid today Israel, 9,539 infections: bulletin, the numbers

There are more than 9,500 new coronavirus infections, according to today’s bulletin numbers, recorded in Israel in the last 24 hours. The Israeli Ministry of Health reports indicating that 9,539 new cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed by the 165,584 tests conducted on the last day. The positivity rate is therefore 5.9%. The health ministry specified that 40% of the new confirmed cases involved children under the age of 11, too young to receive the coronavirus vaccine. 14% of the new cases were boys between the ages of 12 and 18 and only 4% of confirmed cases were over 60. Currently, 650 people are hospitalized in serious condition in Israeli hospitals for complications caused by the coronavirus. Among the inpatients are 424 patients who had not been vaccinated, 144 who had received two doses of the Pfizer vaccine and 56 who had been given three doses, Ynet’s website explains. The Jerusalem Post also explains that within the Forces 2,570 Israeli soldiers are positive for Covid-19 and one of them is in serious condition. There are 2,371 soldiers currently in home isolation.
