School, WHO: “Maintain mask and distance”

At school, to ward off new coronavirus infections, it is still better to wear a mask and keep the distance for students of all ages. This is what WHO suggests in its weekly report. “Children and adolescents positive for Covid generally have mild symptoms of the disease, but the risk of transmissibility of the virus by this age group depends very much on environmental factors and the measures put in place to control the virus. For this reason, and pending further investigations, the use of prevention and protection measures (wearing a mask, washing hands, attention to distancing) and ventilation of closed environments, should be maintained and implemented in schools and for all age groups. In particular for children under 12 who cannot be vaccinated today “. WHO suggests this in the weekly report. Meanwhile, the report still reads, the Delta variant “reported for the first time in October 2020, is now present in 180 countries, six more than last week”.
