The accusation of NAKA investigators concerns such people, they sleep in a cell – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. It took more than eight hours to interrogate NAKA investigators Ján Čurilla and Pavel Ďurka from the Očistec team, who are accused of manipulating the statements of penitents. In the end, the regional prosecutor’s office in Bratislava kept them in a police detention cell for the night.

Meanwhile, journalists could watch them gradually bring and take more detained people from NAKA, Štefan Mašin and Milan Sabota, from the back entrance by the row garages. In the afternoon, they also took away Petr Scholtz, who is the temporarily appointed head of the inspection, and on Monday he was arrested by his own subordinates.

The case is being investigated by the Office of the Inspectorate of the Ministry of the Interior, which is prosecuting police crimes. According to the information so far, they only accused the couple Čurilla and Ďurko. As police officers, they face three to eight years for wasting justice, and in the most serious cases, the penalty for abuse of power can be as high as twenty years.

Investigators from the inspection now have 48 hours to decide whether to prosecute them at large or take them to court, which will decide on their detention.
