A mourning ceremony with state honors, led by President Emmanuel Macron, began at 4.30 pm in the Invalides in Paris, the place where Napoleon is buried. The ceremony can also be watched by the public, and everyone will have the opportunity to bow to the deceased Bébel from his coffin from eight-thirty.

The political elite also came

In addition to President Macron, Prime Minister Jean Castex and former President François Hollande also came to say goodbye to Belmond. “We love Jean-Paul Belmond because he looks like us. We admire him, he makes us laugh. Belmondo was like us, only better.” said Macron, who praised the actor as a faithful friend, a loving son and a dedicated father.
