The deputies did the same in the previous two attempts in July and August, when the opposition filed a motion to dismiss the minister. Smer-SD criticizes such an obstruction. The coalition says that it does not want to participate in the theater organized by Smer-SD.

In attempts to dismiss him, the opposition accuses Mikuláš of the situation in the department and the police, suspicions of taking bribes and the fact that he was supposed to meet with a member of the Bratislava group of such people Matej Zeman in his apartment, where they were to take over the coordination of statements. According to the opposition, the reason for his dismissal is also that he should have interrupted the police intervention against Matej Zeman and two other witnesses.

Opposition politicians also claim in the motion to dismiss Mikulec that the decision of the General Prosecutor’s Office (GP) of the Slovak Republic to lift the charges for the director of the Slovak Information Service Vladimír Pčolinský is evidence of the manipulation of criminal proceedings.

According to the opposition, the Minister of the Interior must bear political responsibility for the actions of the authorities. The petitioners claim that Mikulec coordinated the detention and accusation of Pčolinský on political instruction.

This was stated by the chairman of the OĽANO parliamentary club, Michal Šipoš, after an extraordinary meeting on the dismissal of the Minister of the Interior, Roman Mikulec (OĽANO), was postponed. It was initiated by Smer-SD, which has submitted its third appeal attempt since the summer.

Šipoš described the initiation of the meeting as a circus, because according to him, the opposition is well aware that this item is already included in the September meeting of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic. “Robert Fico is scared and needs to run ahead of Peter Pellegrini,” said Šipoš, adding that the leaders of Smer-SD and Hlas-SD need to fight for their nominees, who as penitents admit what “abomination” took place here under their rule.

According to Šipoš, the opposition is pointing to Mikulec. According to him, he does not interfere in the work of law enforcement agencies. “It acts in stark contrast to the crooks who have extradited police to the clutches of organized crime,” he added.

In response, Mikulec asked how it was possible that Fico, as a three-time prime minister, was still standing in parliament after allowing the creation of a system that could allow theft.

The government coalition is again blocking negotiations on the dismissal of Interior Minister Roman Mikulec (OĽANO) because it is afraid. The head of Smer-SD Robert Fico thinks so. At Thursday’s press conference, he criticized the Speaker of the Parliament, Boris Kollár (We Are a Family), for acting in violation of the Constitution of the Slovak Republic. Fico says opposition MPs have the right to hold a meeting.

He announced further proposals for initiating extraordinary meetings, such as raising the price of bread or consolidating public finances. He added that they also want to work on a referendum, they submitted to the parliament a draft amendment to the Constitution of the Slovak Republic, which responds to the ruling of the Constitutional Court of the Slovak Republic in the case “frustrated” referendum on early elections. “If the proposal is not approved in the first reading, we submit referendum questions to the President of the Slovak Republic and go to the petition. You will see that those 350,000 signatures are collected even faster than in the first case.” informed Fico.
