A month of rain in Toulouse

It nevertheless thundered and rained in the Pink City and its agglomeration. The Météo France station in Francazal recorded 43.7mm of rain (42.1mm in one hour). “These accumulations correspond to about a month of rain,” indicates Météo France.

Heavy precipitation was localized. It rained less in eastern Toulouse, for example.

The Haute-Garonne firefighters carried out around thirty operations for material damage, in particular flooded cellars, in the sectors of Toulouse, Colomiers and Rouffiac-Tolosan.

Rain record in Agen, floods

The strongest thunderstorms therefore avoided Toulouse. They went up from the West and unfortunately hit our Agen neighbors head-on as shown in the images. of the site Weather Pyrenees.

In the Lot-et-Garonne prefecture, the storm hit at the end of the day with torrential rains. 130 mm of water fell within two hours. Part of the city was flooded.

Still west of Toulouse, the Gers department was affected.

Substantial thunderstorms were recorded near Samatan and Gimont causing some damage.

Heavy precipitation in the Tarn and Aude

The Tarn and Aude were also affected by heavy rainfall.

The accumulations recorded are lower than in Agen. He fell 100 mm to Luc-sur-Orbieu, 57.6 mm at Caunes-Minervois and 55.6 mm Carcassonne.

This gave rise to some delicate situations, in the Lézignan-Corbières sector :

On the Tarn side, it fell 49.6 mm to Albi.
