The gradual disintegration of the For the People Party has been observed by the Slovak public for several months. By far the biggest blow to its remaining supporters, however, came yesterday. This happened at a joint press conference of SaS chairman Richard Sulík, Mária Kolíková and six deputies ending up in the party and club Za lidí. The Minister of Economy announced in front of the media present in the National Council of the Slovak Republic that the Pin faction, entitled For a Fair Slovakia, is now supporting and becoming a partner of the Liberals.. Deputies Vladimír Ledecký (55), Tomáš Lehotský (42), Marek Hattas (34), Michal Luciak (41), Vladimíra Marcinková (30) and Ján Benčík (73) are leaving on behalf of the people.
While the party’s chairwoman Veronika Remišová finally came out of the battle with a loss, there is nothing on the horse already mentioned Richard Sulík. The SaS parliamentary group now has 19 members, making it the second largest in the coalition. Sulík emphasized that this is also why his party does not want to open a coalition agreement and does not plan to run for other government chairs. However, the fundamental demand of the Liberals is that Mária Kolíková remain Minister of Justice. There are currently four members in the party’s parliamentary club, which is not enough and the club is to disappear. Remišová called the step of Kolíková and her supporters a betrayal of the values of the party and its members. “Their departure is nothing new, I have been talking for two weeks now that the group has been negotiating with the SaS party with the aim of both leaving the party, damaging the party and maintaining its functions. It is the betrayal of the values of the party and the betrayal of its members, thanks to which these functions have,“The leader and party founder Andrej Kiska (58) was much more critical, but especially towards Remišová. “It was important for the party to discuss the problems inside and to act in unison on the outside and to be a stable partner of the coalition. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen. The party’s chairwoman may have begun to believe that some members, after her eventual re-election as chairwoman, would put pressure on her to resign as minister. She therefore exercised her powers, changed her presidency and the parliament did not take place, “uled on his social network profile. As he added, Maria Kolíková’s step means: “Another scenario, after all that has happened, could probably not have been expected. I believe that in the SaS club they will have the conditions for everyone to apply their talent, skills and experience. “ Chairman of the OĽaNO movement Igor Matovic (48) considers that the coalition agreement continues to apply, as it also answers questions about the distribution of seats in government. The head of the movement We are family Boris Kollár (56) he was not so sure, saying that if the redistribution of posts was to change, a coalition agreement could not be opened.
