According to Kollár, he is glad that after months of squabbles and quarrels about the position, the situation in the For People party “shook”. He believes that with the departure of the Kolíková faction, there will be peace in the For People party. She hopes that Kolíková will also have more time and energy to devote herself to matters in the justice sector, such as the execution amnesty.

He wants to study the possibilities

The head of parliament still wants to study the possibilities of maintaining the For People’s parliamentary group. “If it is only possible and Mrs. Remišová will be able to keep the club, I will definitely not ask that we damage her in this way,” he added. The coalition agreement also talks about the distribution of posts and is still valid

The coalition agreement remains in force. In connection with the departure of part of the deputies for the people to the SaS club and questions about the possible redistribution of ministerial mandates resulting from this before the government meeting, the Minister of Finance of the Slovak Republic and OĽANO leader Igor Matovič emphasized. “The coalition agreement also contains all the answers to the questions concerning the division of seats in the government,” he said. He believes that agreements must apply not only when “it suits us, but also when the original situation changes and it is no longer what we think it is”.

VIDEO According to Matovič, the coalition agreement is valid, if someone wants to overthrow the government again, they can terminate it

“We did not conclude a coalition agreement to change it if there is a situation where it ceases to suit a political party.” stressed. He made possible efforts to change it in connection with possible efforts to overthrow the government. The OĽANO movement stated in its opinion that the coalition agreement is valid and that everything is clearly written in it. “If a coalition partner wants to open and change a coalition agreement, he must interpret his request where it belongs – on the coalition council.” stated the movement.

The priority for Matovič and OĽANO is to maintain the coalition and its mandate. Asked if he would like Veronika Remišová (For the People) to return to OĽANO in this situation, Matovič said that Remišová had never really left OĽANO. “She woke up somewhere else, got lost, and maybe she’ll come back someday,” he said.

Deputies around Kolíková left Za lidí

Six deputies of the National Council (NR) of the Slovak Republic from the For People around Mária Kolíková end up in the party and the parliamentary club and leave for the SaS club. The For People club is to disintegrate after they leave, as there will not be enough deputies to continue its operation.

At a press conference, SaS Chairman Richard Sulík declared his interest in maintaining the governing coalition and the fact that SaS does not want to claim further positions within the coalition. The only requirement of the party should be that Pinová remain in the position of Minister of Justice. In response, Remišová said that she considered the departure of colleagues to be a betrayal of values by all party members.
