The journalist and radio producer Amobé Mévégué, a figure in the world of African culture, has left us. France 24 learned with deep sadness his sudden disappearance on September 8, 2021.

Presenter since 2010 on France 24 of the cultural program “A l’Affiche!” and musical columnist, Amobé Mévégué had also presented the program “Plein Sud” to RFI, where he remained very close to the teams. He had also collaborated with TV5Monde, MCM Africa, France Ô and founded the pan-African channel Ubiznewstv-OM5.

At France 24 as at RFI, Amobé Mévégué, a traveling citizen of two continents, has always known how to create bridges between European and African cultures. He was a face and a voice acclaimed by viewers and listeners to France Médias Monde channels who pay tribute to him on the air today.
