A man was attacked Tuesday, September 7 with a speargun in Argelès-sur-Mer (Pyrénées-Orientales), reports France Bleu Roussillon. Around 7:30 am, this man, aged about fifty, returned to his home “when he was ambushed“, according to the gendarmerie.
Miraculously, the arrow slipped along the cranium, crossing the upper part of the forehead. The victim still tried to chase her attacker, causing passers-by to be amazed. Several residents have warned the gendarmerie. But when the police arrived, the shooter had disappeared in the wild.
The man, of Serbian nationality, was hospitalized in Perpignan, but his life is not in danger. The attacker is actively sought by the gendarmerie. The railway station and the Argelès bus station have been placed under surveillance.
According to the first elements of the investigation, the suspect, aged about fifty, is also of Serbian nationality, without a fixed address.
