PRAGUE – Slavia midfielder Jakub Hromada received a three-match penalty for a conflict with the referee and a red card after retaliation for the 4th preliminary round of the European Football League in Warsaw against the Legion from UEFA. Therefore, the Czech champion did not include him on the list for the group phase of the European Conference League. Slavia announced it on its website today.

The Slovak national team Hromada was punished for inadequate reaction to referee Artur Soares Dias in the tunnel leading to the locker rooms after the match, which Slavia lost 1: 2 and did not advance to the European League group 2: 2 after a home draw.

After three minutes of retaliatory duel, the Portuguese arbiter Dias eliminated Tomáš Holeš, who, with a bit of lime, committed a sharp foot on the opponent’s standing leg. Holeš received a one-match penalty and missed the opening match in the European Conference League against the Union Berlin on Thursday 16 September at Prague’s Eden. The other opponents of the Slavia players in the group will be Feyenoord Rotterdam and Maccabi Haifa.

Srdjan Plavšić and Petr Ševčík, who were missing from coach Jindřich Trpišovský in the 4th preliminary round of the European League due to injury, returned to the cup list. David Hovorka and Lukáš Provod are also missing from long-term injuries, and Mads Emil Madsen and Mick van Buren are not on the list.

On the contrary, Lukáš Masopust, who has had health problems in recent days, is not missing. Slavia also included Ladislav Takács in the list, who was leaving the club, but remained after the transfer of David Zim to FC Turin.
