NEW YORK – Slovak tennis player Filip Polášek and Australian John Peers made it to the quarterfinals of the doubles at the final grand slam tournament of the US Open season.
The eighth-seeded pair managed the Dutch pair Wesley Koolhof, Jean-Julien Rojer 4: 6, 6: 3, 6: 4 in Monday’s eight finals. The duel lasted 2:02 h. In the fight for the semifinals, Polášek and Peers will meet the French spider troops Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut.
