Fico again calls on Lipšica to resign, he talks about the introduction – PRAVDA.sk

The chairman of the opposition Direction, Robert Fico, has once again called on special prosecutor Daniel Lipšic to resign. He called it a dirt standard and accused him of being paid by the oligarchs.

The reason is his legal history, when the company in which he worked represented Mecom belonging to the Penta group. Lipšic rejects the criticism. He insists that the group never paid him directly. He talks about the introduction of politicians and lawyers Penta and Jaroslav Haščák. Lawyers, on the other hand, refuse to be involved in disputes between Fico and Lipsic.

Fico argues with the decision of the General Prosecutor’s Office in the case of acquittal of the accusations of SIS executive Vladimír Pčolinský and Haščák. According to him, it states that Penta and Haščák ordered services in the field of criminal law from Lipšice.

“The company in which Lipšic worked received the contract only because Lipšic worked there and Penta wanted to use his specific experience in politics,” he said, stating that they set the monthly remuneration at 7,000 euros excluding VAT. The head of Smer claims that Lipšic was supposed to meet Penta in person, he did not write a single page of analyzes in writing, but received a salary.

Lipšic described it as regrettable if the misleading and untrue allegations of the defense were taken over by public officials. He explained that he worked in an international law firm, whose clients were also some Penty companies.

He claims that he never received direct income from the financial group. He described the remuneration from Mecom for the law firm as average; in his own words, he did not participate in determining its amount. He says he was listed among the contact lawyers because he led the company’s criminal law team. He considers it absurd to claim that Penta should have chosen the law firm because of him and because of his political experience.

Penta’s lawyers refuse to involve them as well as their client in disputes between Fico and Lipsic. “Especially when both parties misinterpret our statements in order to present their own goals,” said lawyer Martin Škubla.

Lawyers criticize Lipsic’s words about misleading the defense in their interpretation of his legal services. They claim that their client should have entered into a contractual relationship with a law firm because the services were to be provided by Lipšic.

They clarified that by information about Mecom’s cooperation with the law firm where Lipšic worked, they wanted to point out that it was a standard cooperation with external suppliers. Thus, the similarity with the consultancy relationship between Penta and Identita. It belonged to the former director of SIS counterintelligence Ľubomír Arpáš.

Haščák, together with Arpáš and his wife, were accused of concluding contracts for fictitious advice through the company, which was to be for money for the sale of a recording from the Gorilla case. Prosecutor General Maroš Žilinka dropped the charges in August.
