Former member of the British girls’ music group Girls Aloud Sarah Harding succumbed to cancer. She was 39 years old.

Singer and actress Sarah Harding died at the age of 39.

The media announced it yesterday, referring to the singer’s mother. Last year, Sarah Harding reported that she had breast cancer. The disease has spread to other parts of her body.

“I share with deep sadness the news today that my great daughter Sarah has died,” her mother wrote on Instagram. “Many of you know about Sarah’s cancer fight and know that she fought from diagnosis until the last day. She died peacefully this morning, “she added.

The singer previously stated that according to the doctor, she will probably not live to see this year’s Christmas. In her CV, published in March, she said that she had decided to report her illness in the hope that it would force others to seek help in time so that they would not get into a situation where it would be too late after diagnosis.

The band Girls Aloud, made up of five girls, was formed in 2002 during a talent show on a television show and celebrated success until the break-up in 2013. The band’s first single, Sound Of The Underground, topped the UK charts during Christmas 2002 and remained on position for four weeks. In the following years, three more songs by the Girls Aloud group took the lead in selling singles. In total, the band sold more than four million carriers.

After the break-up of the group, Harding appeared in several films and television shows. In 2017, she won the reality show Celebrity Big Brother.
