Former French international defender (22 selections between 1972 and 1976), Jean-Pierre Adams died on Monday at the Nîmes University Hospital at the age of 73. He had been in a deep coma since March 17, 1982, following an anesthesia error.
Passed by Nîmes Olympique (1970-1973), OGC Nice (1973-1977), PSG (1977-1979), in particular, Jean-Pierre Adams marked the history of the Blues through his association with Marius Trésor, forming a formidable central defensive hinge nicknamed “the black guard”.
