ZANDVOORT – Dutchman Max Verstappen on a Red Bull monopost became the winner of the qualification for the “home” Dutch Grand Prix of F1 cars on the circuit in Zandvoort. The second place on the starting grid was won by the defending champion Brit Lewis Hamilton on Mercedes, who lost 0.038 s to Verstappen.

Hamilton’s teammate Finn Valtteri Bottas took third place in the qualification.
