TALLIN – Slovak volleyball players lost in their first performance at the European Championships in Tallinn, Estonia. In Friday’s match, the C-groups were not enough for the Olympic winners from France 0: 3.
The Slovaks won the first point in the first set, the French later took the lead 10: 5. In the final at 24:20, the Slovaks deflected two setball, the French turned into a third.
In the second set, the Slovak national team was already leading 7: 3, but their opponents turned the score around, later taking the lead 11: 9. Thanks to Paták, it was then tied at 14:14, but the favorite managed the ending better again.
Even in the third set, the Slovaks kept up with their opponent. Although they lost at the beginning, later the state was undecided 16:16. Then the French bounced back by a difference of four points and finally won the set in a ratio of 25:19.
