Do you like five or exactly seven? This is a question you may or may not ask.
Dacia Jogger is officially introduced. The car will offer two engines and the option to equip it with five or even 7 seats. When I wrote about the upcoming Logane MCV of the new generation a few months ago, I had no idea how close I would be to the truth. At least when it comes to the visual side. Because at first glance, this car looks like a stretched Sandero Stepway. At first glance, it is not lying, because it is a car standing on the same foundations with the same technology. Do not expect any all-wheel drive. Instead, the station wagon / MPV attracts in terms of terrain.
The jogger is over 4.5 meters long. It is really a combi crossover with the parameters of the lower middle class. Here, however, the designers used 4.5 meters much more efficiently than with the station wagon body. Instead of racing for the number of liters in the trunk, they chose the path of increasing the body and adding two seats. In addition, the car has plenty of storage space, practical adjustable roof racks inherited from the Sandero Stepway model and rear folding windows to increase the thermal comfort of passengers in the third row.
Thanks to the use of the new platform, the designers managed to provide the passengers in the third row with a pleasant space, especially in width and height. Compared to the second and third rows, there is only about 16 cm less width at the rear, which increases the space for passengers when only two seats are fitted. The same applies to the height from the seat to the ceiling – 910 vs. 855 mm.
Under the hood of the vehicle you will find a pair of three-cylinder engines. The first for combination with LPG fuel marked Eco G 100 and the second standard but direct injection three-cylinder 1.0 TCe three-cylinder with an output of 110 hp. Both specifications will initially be available exclusively with six-speed manual transmissions.
In addition to space, there will be basically what is in the car called Sandero on board. Passive and active safety supported by a stabilization program, airbags, or emergency braking and keeping the car in lanes, along with connectivity and other details. We will learn more in the coming months. Jogger will come to dealers in Slovakia in the spring of 2022.
