“This government must end,” opposition politicians announced at Wednesday’s protests in Košice and Bratislava.

In the end, they did not meet the direction with the fascists on one stage, but they had a legacy in common.

Several thousand people protested in Košice, slightly less in Bratislava, where they were again able to partially block traffic in the center. Heavy people also intervened in the capital, there were also clashes with police officers in front of the parliament, and two protesters were detained.

Protesters in the capital and in Košice did not have a veil, did not observe divisions, and the greatest applause was received by opposition politicians when they questioned the covid-19 and spoke of the pandemic as a fabrication that wrongly deprives people of their freedom.

Fico is not leaving the referendum

The direction in Košice convinced the crowd that the only solution in the current situation is a referendum on early elections and that they are ready to collect signatures again under petition sheets. Former Prime Minister and party chairman Robert Fico announced from the rostrum what trick they had already devised so as not to run into the Constitutional Court again.

“We will make it more cunning now, before you get the petitions sheets with the question, we will all ask the question together to the President, who has already betrayed this nation,” Fico interceded with the protesters and continued to ask Zuzana Čaputová what to do with the new question.
