That was over twenty years ago! Long before marrying Charlène Wittstock, Albert of Monaco had a romantic relationship with Nicole Coste. While she had started a career as a flight attendant with Air France in 1996, it was on July 13, 1997 that the young woman met Albert of Monaco during a flight from Paris to Nice. In the newspaper Young Africa, it was then indicated: “She offers him her meal tray, he asks for her phone number and gets it.” After six years of love, it was on August 24, 2003 that Nicole Coste gave birth to Alexandre. While the latter had been hospitalized for six weeks after his birth, the young woman had confided to Paris Match : “I faced this on my own, without confiding in anyone.“

If Albert of Monaco was in love with Nicole Coste, it was not to his father’s taste, prince Rainier, who had asked him to cut it short. So, Caroline and Stéphanie de Monaco’s brother had respected his decision while providing for his son’s needs. Two years later, it was finally after the death of his father that Albert of Monaco had agreed to recognize Alexandre as his son. In an interview with Paris Match this summer, Nicole Coste confided: “Albert has always assumed his role of father and no financial agreement has ever been concluded between us.“Assuring that the father and son were very complicit, the pretty brunette added:”They play sports and talk politics.“Finally, while her son is close to his half-sister, Jasmin Grimaldi, Nicole Coste revealed:”I always make sure that they spend pleasant and fraternal moments together. As for Jacques and Gabriella, they are still small; Alexander plays happily with them when he sees them.“

Born December 6, 1971 in Togo, it was at the age of 18 that the young woman arrived in France. After studying economics and then studying architecture, Nicole Coste embarked on a career as a model. Finally, the pretty brunette was a flight attendant before becoming a stylist! Before meeting Albert of Monaco, she had married a man fifteen years her senior, with whom she had two children.
