Japan, Princess Mako will get married within the year

Japanese princess Mako will marry fiance Kei Komuro by the end of the year. This was reported by several Japanese media, including the Kyodo broadcaster, citing well-informed sources. The 29-year-old princess’s wedding will take place without the traditional imperial ceremony for the Komuro family’s financial disputes. Mako met Komuro years ago thanks to a mutual friend at International Christian University (ICU) and they got engaged unofficially in September 2017. Daughter of Crown Prince Akishino, younger brother of the Japanese Emperor Naruhito, she will become a private citizen by marrying a man who is not part of the royal house. According to Japanese media, the couple will go to live in the United States after their marriage.
