Only vaccinated people can take part in the Pope’s visits, which is why some have chosen another option and go to Hungary to see him. After returning to Slovakia, however, they will be quarantined, to which members of the household will probably also go. Quarantine ends with the receipt of a negative PCR test.

Buses are being prepared for Hungary with dozens of pupils, parents, teachers and others who cannot attend mass with us. Registration on the eHranica portal is also an obligation. If you are a commuter, you do not need to quarantine if you have a negative PCR test not older than 7 days. Unvaccinated “nependlers” will have to complete everything that an ordinary person has to do after returning from vacation. It follows from the valid decree.

This means quarantine, which ends with a negative test. If you violate the quarantine measures, you risk a fine. Without the test, the quarantine lasts 14 days. The domestic arantena can be terminated with a negative result of the RT-PCR test, which can be performed on day 5 at the earliest. However, the quarantine also applies to members of the common household who have not traveled – it ends when the other members. Although they did not visit the pope. However, this does not apply to fully vaccinated household members.

The rules are finer

In Hungary, less strict measures apply during the Pope’s visit than in Slovakia. In our country, only those who are fully vaccinated will be able to come and see the Holy Father. The Ministry of Health explained this measure so that as many people as possible could go to the event, but at the same time the risk of spreading the coronavirus was eliminated. In addition, it is necessary to register for individual events in advance and then receive a ticket.

In Hungary, however, the rules are different. There, Pope Francis, who will celebrate Holy Mass at the Eucharistic Congress in Budapest on September 12, will be available to everyone, including those who could not be vaccinated.

Even a negative test will not be required of visitors. KBS is not aware of whether at least our parishes will request it from the participants of these tours. However, spokesman Martin Kramara emphasized that it should not be forgotten that in both cases, ie in Slovakia and Hungary, the conditions regarding the measures were not determined by the church, but by the state.
