The government has embarked on a second round of paying a one-off child allowance.

This was stated by the Minister of Labor, Social Affairs and Family Milan Krajniak (We are a family) after the government meeting. The Cabinet of Ministers has instructed to bring a concrete proposal for the implementation of a one-off allowance for all children up to the age of 18 for next week’s government meeting.

In the material, the Ministry of Labor stated that the one-off contribution will be in the form of an increase in the child allowance by EUR 74.50. In September, parents will receive a total of 100 euros per child.

“The child allowance, including the proposed one-off increase, shall be granted for the month of September 2021 and the month of October 2021 for a total amount of EUR 100. This does not affect the one-off increase in the allowance for a child who entered the first year of primary school for the first time, “the authors of the material wrote.

However, the state will not provide an increased child allowance for those dependent children who are entitled to one-time assistance in material need in the amount of EUR 333. The state has already paid one-off aid to these children in the first round of payment.

“Given that we are starting a new school year in two days and we have thought that how to help parents of children during a pandemic, such a one-off allowance of 100 euros for each child until the age of 18 can certainly help these families – especially those who have more children and who need to prepare for the new school year, to help, “the minister commented.
