The Taliban want good diplomatic relations.

CABLE. A senior Taliban Islamist spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid congratulated the Afghan people on the victory on Tuesday, just hours after the last US troops left the country after 20 years of military intervention.
This is reported by the AFP agency.
An intruder lesson
“Congratulations to Afghanistan … this victory belongs to all of us,” Mujahid said in a speech from the runway of Hamid Karzai International Airport in the Afghan capital Kabul.
“We want good relations with the United States and the world. We welcome good diplomatic relations with all of them,” a Taliban spokesman added.
The defeat of America was “a great lesson for other invaders and for the next generation,” Mujahid added.
The airport is already controlled by the Taliban
The Taliban took control of the entire airport in Kabul on Tuesday after the last US plane took off, AFP recalls. There were still Afghans in front of the airport, hoping to fly out of the country.
In the northern, military part of the airport, vehicles moved on a single runway. Before dawn, the movement’s heavily armed fighters walked through the hangars.
Taliban leaders later symbolically walked the runway to mark their victory alongside fighters from the elite Badr Brigade, AFP writes. “The world should learn from this, and this is a pleasant moment of victory,” Mujahid said during a live broadcast released by one of the militants.
