A judicial investigation is open for intentional homicide after the murder of a 50-year-old paramedic, Saturday, August 28, in Besançon in the Doubs, reports France Blue Besançon. The respondent, a 40-year-old man suffering from psychotic disorders, is currently being treated in a psychiatric hospital in Novillars.

In total, three judicial inquiries are open, announces the prosecutor of the Republic of Besançon, Etienne Manteaux. One for intentional homicide and two for attempted homicides, on two neighbors of the respondent.

The investigation must also determine whether the private ambulance company, Jussieu, for which the victim worked, was warned of the imminent arrival of the police, five minutes after the murder.
