In the columns of Sunday newspaper moreover, they remembered with pleasure the shooting of this film. “When I read the script and called Dany in the wake, he was reassured by my enthusiasm, Kad Merad told our colleagues. I was however the last of his list, actors like José Garcia and Daniel Auteuil had been considered before me. “ Dany Boon added: “I remember how you told me about it. The role was for you, whatever your place on the list …” At the JDD, the director of Ch’tis also told a very astonishing anecdote.

“The shoot was something. There’s this scene where we piss in the canal during the postman’s tour. We couldn’t do it, Kad suggested drinking beer., joked the comedian. We started drinking Triple Ch’tis and we quickly got drunk. There was a thunderstorm, we took a single sequence shot, the one in the film. We were laughing like whales because Kad couldn’t stop peeing. “ But if the two men get along very well, they have also experienced some moments of tension. “When we found ourselves playing together, there was something obvious. But a comedy is very serious, and with Dany, we must not joke”, engaged Kad Merad in the columns of the Sunday Journal, before confiding: “We had a shouting match one day because I didn’t know my lines well. I won’t remember it all my life …”

Kad Merad indeed plays in Un triomphe, by Emmanuel Courcol, co-produced by his friend. “While reading the script I was very moved to learn that it was a true story and I was delighted that Kad was part of it because he is great in the dramatic register, explained Dany Boon to our colleagues.
