The new seven-seater vehicle will replace the ending MPV Lodgy.

Seven-seater Duster, respectively crossover, or (renewed) Lodgy. Regardless of the designation, it will be a new crossover created by combining the MPV with an SUV, which is to increase Dacia’s sales in the area of ​​a family vehicle with 5 to 7 seats. Lodgy has not been fueled by sales, especially in recent years, but the need for a larger “Duster” is still relevant and customers really want a 7-seater car from a price-oriented brand.

So here it is. His name is Jogger and he will officially appear to the world on September 3 during the exhibition premiere at the IAA Motor Show in Munich. No return to the Sandero Stepway label, no Grand Duster name, but a brand new name. We will see whether with new technology or an updated current one. So far, it looks like the first option – a vehicle standing on the new CMF-B Low platform, on which both Logan and Sandero stand.

As the name suggests, the car should underline the connection with the Duster model (Jogger – er – Duster – er) and at the same time add a touch of sportiness thanks to the initial letters (Jogg – from the word jogging – running for health in nature).

The model shows parts of her own silhouette today. The large Dacia will offer significantly more space for the rear passengers than anything in the brand’s current portfolio thanks to the larger wheelbase and overall length, as well as due to the increase in the body behind the first door, which is already in mysterious view. In the video below, you will find two more shots, including taillights, which resemble the lights of Volvo station wagons and SUVs (past generations such as the XC90).

According to the brand, the vehicle will offer 5 or 7 seats for the crew and, in addition, a pile of useful storage space, a solid luggage compartment and, for example, handy variable roof racks.
