Back to school: the 2021-2022 holiday calendar, what to expect with public holidays – South West

Here is the 2021-2022 school calendar for zones A, B and C. What are the public holidays that will make it possible to make the “bridge”? We take stock

We will have to make a point, the summer vacation is over and it is indeed the start of the school year that is looming. If the teachers will return to school on Wednesday, September 1, students are expected on Thursday, September 2. But when do the next holidays fall?

Here is the full calendar for the 2019-2020 school year for zones A, B and C:

All Saints holidays

End of lessons on Saturday 23 October 2021. Resumption of lessons on Monday 8 November 2021 (zones A, B, C).

Christmas vacation

End of lessons on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Resumption of lessons on Monday, January 3, 2022 (zones A, B, C).

February holidays

Zone A. End of lessons: Saturday February 12, 2022. Resumption on Monday February 28, 2022.

Zone B. End of lessons: Saturday February 5, 2022. Resumption on Monday February 21, 2022.

Zone C. End of lessons: Saturday February 19, 2022. Resumption on Monday March 7, 2022.

Easter holidays

Zone A. End of lessons: Saturday April 16, 2022. Resumption on Monday May 2, 2022.

Zone B. End of lessons: Saturday April 9, 2022. Resumption on Monday April 25, 2022.

Zone C. End of lessons: Saturday 23 April 2022. Resumption on Monday 9 May 2022.

Summer holidays

Thursday July 7, 2022 (zones A, B, C).

Reminder of zones A, B and C

Zone A includes the academies of Besançon, Bordeaux, Clermont-Ferrand, Dijon, Grenoble, Limoges, Lyon and Poitiers.

Zone B includes the academies of Aix-Marseille, Amiens, Lille, Nancy-Metz, Nantes, Nice, Normandy, Orléans-Tours, Reims, Rennes and Strasbourg.

Zone C includes the academies of Créteil, Montpellier, Paris, Toulouse and Versailles.

This year, are public holidays going to give us “bridges”?

All Saints’ Day will fall on Monday November 1st.

For the end of year celebrations, December 25 and New Year’s Day will be celebrated on a Saturday.

The November 11 Armistice will fall on a Thursday.

No luck, however, in 2022, May 1 and 8 will take place on a Sunday.

Ascension Thursday will fall on May 26, while Pentecost Monday is June 6.
