The second-degree warning against heavy rain applies in the districts of Tvrdošín, Liptovský Mikuláš, Poprad and Kežmarok until Monday noon. “Heavy rain is rarely expected with a total precipitation of 50 to 80 millimeters,” warned the SHMÚ that precipitation could cause minor damage.

The first level of warning was issued by meteorologists for most of the Žilina and Prešov regions. Also for the districts of Rožňava, Spišská Nová Ves, Považská Bystrica, Rimavská Sobota, Revúca and Brezno. It can fall within 55 millimeters of precipitation in these areas.

The hydrological warning of the second degree is valid in the Tvrdošín district until 6.00 pm. The SHMÚ issued a first-instance warning for other districts, especially in the upper Považie and Liptov, Kysucie, Orava, around Poprad and for districts in the upper part of Bodrog.
