The Slovak hockey team managed the Olympic qualification and advanced to Beijing in 2022. After the qualifying tournaments, which, in addition to Bratislava, were also played in Norway and Latvia, the complete compositions of the basic groups are already known.

In addition to Slovakia, the national teams of Denmark and Latvia also advanced, thus completing the eight already advancing on the basis of the ranking after the 2019 Ice Hockey World Championships.

The whole composition of the A-group has been known for a long time, the overseas teams Canada and the USA will play with Germany and domestic China. In the B-group, the Danes joined Russia, the Czech Republic and Switzerland. So far, only Finns and Swedes were in the C-group, supplemented by advancing Slovaks and Latvia.

The Beijing Winter Olympics are scheduled for February 4-20, 2022.

Basic groups at the Olympics:

A-group: Canada, USA, Germany, China

B-group: Russia, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Denmark

C-group: Finland, Sweden, Slovakia, Latvia
