Almost a year and a half after the media scandal which had prompted him to give up the race for mayor of Paris under the colors of La République en Marche, and when he renounced his mandate as deputy on May 12 last, Benjamin Griveaux has a new project.

As he announces at Sunday Newspaper from this August 29, he will host a monthly show of the economic channel B Smart from September 18, an approach which he has “naturally kept Emmanuel Macron informed”.

“After having submitted two parliamentary reports, I left my mandate as deputy on May 12 to turn a page and give birth to a project that has matured for a long time: the creation of a consultancy company for business and start-up leaders. -up “, he also explains to the weekly, referring to his “new life”.

“I won’t hide from you that I hesitated, because going to the other side of the mirror is a bet”, confides Benjamin Griveaux about his television conversion. “But one thing is certain: this show is fully in line with my consulting activity with business leaders.”

The ex-elected specifies that he was “approached in the spring by one of the founders” of the economic news channel B Smart, founded a year ago, Pierre Fraidenraich. From “news channels in particular” also contacted him, he says, “but each time in the political field.” Gold, “having decided to put an end to my public engagements, I did not wish to be commentator or columnist of a universe of which I was an actor”, he specifies at JDD.

Benjamin Griveaux, then LREM candidate for mayor of Paris, withdrew from the municipal battle on February 14, 2020 after the broadcast of intimate videos.

Now a television man, he nevertheless “does not envisage” a real career as a journalist or columnist, he continues.
