LAS VEGAS – Makhmud Muradov lost in a night duel on the main card of the UFC tournament Fight Night: Barboza vs. Chikadze. In the duel in which he was a better fighter, he was not enough for the American BJJ specialist Gerald Meerschaert, who strangled him in the 2nd round.

The Czech-Uzbek fighter has been very nimble on the legs since the beginning, and he has struggled very hard several times. But that was not enough and Meerschaert was able to consolidate. On the contrary, he was the one who took the initiative at the end of the opening act and began to shoot Muradov.

He did not let go of the significantly tired Uzbek with a Czech heart in the 2nd round and he ended the fight with the Rear Naked Choke technique after the transition to the back. Makhmud Muradov thus scored 3-1 in the UFC and broke his winning streak of 14 duels with this defeat.
