Recovered from his physical problems, Pau Lopez participated normally in training sessions this week. The Spanish goalkeeper therefore logically part of the group retained by Jorge Sampaoli to face Saint-Étienne, tonight at the Stade Vélodrome, and should start on the sidelines. For the rest, there are no surprises to report: always hoped to start, Duje Caleta Car is spared, just as Nemanja Radonjic had been last weekend in Nice; Leonardo Balerdi, him, will serve his second game of suspension.
It remains to be seen which system will choose Jorge Sampaoli, who can now count on the Spanish defender Pol Lirola. In all likelihood, “El Pelado” should not change anything and start with his traditional 3-2-4-1. But the Olympian technician could also start Lirola on the right side and change his starting XI accordingly.
