OM 3-1 ASSE: OM returns to success in a burning Velodrome – foot Marseille

OM hosted ASSE this Saturday on behalf of the 4th day of Ligue 1. He won 3-1, in an exceptional atmosphere!

Jorge Sampaoli opted for the following eleven: Mandanda – Saliba, Alvaro, Peres – Rongier, Kamara, Guendouzi, Under, Gerson, De la Fuente – Payet. 60,000 spectators took place at the Vlodrome, an atmosphere of great evenings!

The match was decided from in, with actions from both sides. Bouanga forced Mandanda a huge save (1st), and Green did the same on a missed attempt by Rongier (2nd). Saliba did not frame an attempt, while he had recovered the ball at the far post, after a corner (17th). De la Fuente served Guendouzi in withdrawal, after recovering the ball: the former Gunner opened the scoring from the right (1-0, 24th). Kolodziejczak scored on a corner, taking the best from Rongier and Alvaro (1-1, 32nd). Guendouzi found the post with a nice strike from 25 meters (38th). Before the break, Rongier did not frame a shot, his specialty (45th).

The Marseillais rather dominated, but to dominate is not to win. Another goal conceded from a corner!

The Olympians came back well and Gerson liberated the Vlodrome with a lot of composure. He put a shot under the bar, after a service from Rongier (2-1, 51st). Gueye replaced Rongier (73rd). The Stphanois obtained good situations by Hamouma (81st) and Nordin (82nd), but they did not manage to frame. The Olympians have enchan the blocks and could have scored other goals. Payet forced Green to lie down to deflect the ball for a corner (84 ‘). Lirola replaced Gerson (84th) Luis Henrique again missed the target after a pass from Payet in the depth (85th). The Runionnais attempted a steal, non-framework, on a long raise from Mandanda (90 + 2nd). The phocen porter brought out a new parade, in the crowd.

The Olympians managed a big performance and achieved a success that allows them to return to the top of the standings. The atmosphere at the Vlodrome was exceptional and still reminds us how much we missed this audience. Can’t wait for the rest!
