A week before the start of the school year, more than 200 events are planned for this Saturday in France. For the seventh consecutive weekend, the demonstrators are pounding the pavement to challenge the health pass, but also to oppose the vaccination of children under the age of twelve, a major issue for many parents present in the processions.
The authorities thus expect to see between 140,000 and 180,000 demonstrators marching across the country, including 12,000 to 20,000 in Paris, 9,000 in Montpellier, 5,500 in Toulon, 5,000 in Mulhouse.

Four distinct processions in Paris
Four events are notably planned in Paris. The two main ones will leave from the Port Royal metro (5th arrondissement) at 1 p.m., under the leadership of yellow vests, then at 2:30 p.m. from Place Joffre, in front of the Military School (7th arrondissement), at the call of Florian Philippot, chef in line with the Patriots.
While the former number 2 of the National Front hopes to relaunch the mobilization in the capital the following week with the many returns from vacation, with a “great unique event, national, Saturday September 4”, the Minister of Health Olivier Véran estimated this Thursday that “the last reservations [étaient] falling in the face of the success of the health pass “.

The figures will again be scrutinized carefully, after two weeks of decline. Last Saturday, 175,000 demonstrators were identified by the Ministry of the Interior, against 215,000 the previous week. The militant collective Le Nombre Jaune had counted 361,818 demonstrators “minimum” nationwide, up from 388,843 the previous week.
Health pass: what will change on Monday
As a reminder, this new wave of protests comes two days before the health pass does not also become compulsory for employees places where customers are requested (bars, restaurants or even cultural places). If they refuse to present it, employees will see their employment contracts suspended, like caregivers, from September 15.
