The Ministry of Health files a criminal complaint for tenders NCZI – SME.sk

BRATISLAVA. The Ministry of Health (MH) is filing a criminal complaint against an unknown perpetrator for public procurement to provide support services to ensure the operation of information systems of the National Center for Health Information (NCZI).

TASR was informed about this by the department’s spokeswoman Zuzana Eliášová.

According to the Ministry, there is a suspicion that the documents prepared for the purposes of the announced public tender could have been manipulated. “This is done by people from the external environment, representing a business company operating in the IT business in cooperation with NCZI employees,” Eliášová explained.

She emphasized that transparency and the efficient use of public funds were paramount for the ministry.

“The public procurement in question has already been canceled by NCZI,” the spokeswoman reminded. She added that the ministry does not enter into the process of creating competitive conditions for public procurement of departmental organizations, they are independent legal entities and entities.

NCZI recently announced a total of more than € 58 million in public procurement. However, there were several inconsistencies and errors in the documents. This was pointed out by the civic association Slovakia.Digital. NCZI then decided to cancel the public procurement.
