MUSIC – “Give him the courage and the strength to keep fighting.” Sophie Tapie unveiled a new title and the accompanying clip this Wednesday, August 25. The Phoenix is a song written “to measure” for its Father Bernard Tapie, while the 78-year-old businessman suffers from cancer stomach and esophagus for several years.

“How to describe what I feel when I make you discover this clip”, writes the singer of 33 years, in particular passed by the emission The Voice in 2012. “A mixture of great modesty and letting go, in order to give him the courage and the strength to continue to fight that I wanted to deliver in this text that I wrote to measure, where I speak of him through my own eyes ”. And to conclude: “I love you with all my heart.”

The clip which accompanies the title contains “certain winks” indicates the young woman, with the image in particular of the cassette of Succeed in life that she gets out of her walkman at the start of the video. This title is indeed a song written by Didier Barbelivien and interpreted by Bernard Tapie in 1985 for the benefit of the Perce-Neige Foundation.

In less than 24 hours, nearly 50,000 people had already viewed the clip of the Phoenix by Sophie Tapie on Youtube.

The singer, who is preparing to release her new album “1988”, had already confided in her father’s obstacle course in December 2020. The day before, the former politician had given himself in an interview with the program “Sept à Huit” on TF1. “It’s a long illness for me since it’s been three years, and I’m at the worst point I’ve known for three years,” announced the ex-president of OM, speaking with difficulty. “And it is all the more unfortunate that from January to June, (…) thanks to an experimental treatment (…), my tumors had fallen by 70%”.

In a message shared on Instagram, Sophie Tapie wrote: “It is true that we are going through a very difficult period, but we are not the only ones … Unfortunately, cancer affects more than 380,000 people per year in France. My thoughts go out to all the sick, as well as to their loved ones, who must also keep their spirits up in order to constantly give the courage to those affected to continue the fight. The one to stay alive, the one to fight against oneself. ”
