Orange will cancel its own satellite TV. He will migrate clients to cable TV, the rest to the Canal + – Živé.sk platform

Orange has announced that it will begin migrating customers of its own “Orange TV via satellite” satellite TV service to cable TV. For subscribers for whom this will not be possible, it will offer a solution from the owner of Skylink and freeSAT.

The operator announced at the end of January that cancels the sale of the satellite version for new customers. Our editorial office already pointed out at that time that it is clear that the company will not want to operate the platform in the long run.

Focus on IPTV service

The IPTV service is provided by Orange via its own optical network, but also from Telekom’s network – optical and metallic. It will primarily try to migrate satellite TV clients to these platforms. Overall uses TV services from Orange 148,000 clients.

In addition, it is also preparing a new product with Canal +. Clients who will not have access to cable TV service should switch to this. He wants to reveal details about her later. It has to offer a new offer, more TV stations and a new structure.
