After a hilly eleventh stage won by Primoz Roglic, the riders of the Vuelta experienced a similar stage, punctuated by two climbs in the final. At the end of the 175 kilometers that linked Jaén and Cordoba, it was the Dane Magnus Cort-Nielsen who was the strongest against the BikeExchange armada of Michael Matthews and the other sprinters.
