LONDON – Spanish coach Pep Guardiola is ready to take on a new challenge after the contract with the English football club Manchester City expires. He would like to choose an unexplored path in his career and lead a national team.

Guardiola has been working in Manchester City since July 2016. The former coach of Barcelona and Bayern Munich has won the English League three times, the EFL Cup and the FA Cup four times with the club. His contract for Etihad Stadium will expire next summer and has indicated that he has no interest in extending it.

“I think after so many years I need to breathe a sigh of relief and find new inspiration. I make no secret of the fact that I would like to lead a representation of a European or South American country. I would be grateful for such an experience.” declared Guardiola. However, he denied corridor information, according to which he should sit on Brazil’s bench after Tito next summer.
