1. Residual expertise shall be lost

This coalition never had enough experts, as they preferred rather vague demands for bravery and heroism, ie for qualities that, according to OĽaNO’s dogma, were to be concentrated in Igor Matovič. An exception to this principle was in some cases the For People party, until it was destroyed by a petty political struggle. The dismissal of State Secretary Zuzana Kumanová definitively confirmed that expertise no longer means anything to For People.

Unexplained exchange. After her dismissal, Kumanová herself spoke about the end of her expertise in For People, whom the government replaced with faithful Veronica Remišová Viera Leščáková. Kumanová worked at the Ministry of Culture for less than a year and did not achieve revolutionary change, but no one questioned her abilities and her party boss could not blame her. The explanation for its exchange is, in fact, that the coalition decides on an ad hoc basis and according to the personnel ambitions of its leaders.

Minorities are outside. Kumanova’s case may remind us of the dismissal of State Secretary of the Ministry of Education Monika Filipová in June, who was also a recognized expert, but became involved in a personal dispute with Minister Gröhling from SaS. Another parallel between them is that they were the only representatives of their national minority in the government: Filipová represented the Hungarians, Kumanová represented the Roma. Hundreds of thousands of people belonging to these minorities are therefore unlucky.
