Gaza struggles to rebuild, three months after lightning war between Israel and Hamas

While again the target of Israeli airstrikes on Monday, the Gaza Strip has yet to recover from the destruction caused by the lightning war between Israel and Hamas three months ago. Report from Gaza, amid the rubble and residents still waiting for help to rebuild their homes.

The Israeli army carried out new raids on the Gaza Strip on Monday in retaliation for sending incendiary balloons from the Palestinian enclave to the Jewish state. Tensions escalate as many Gazans still fail to rebuild their homes, three months after the lightning war last May between Israel and Hamas.

In the middle of the ruins, the clearing work continues and the worksite of the workers is colossal. Reconstruction is slow because it is difficult to deliver international aid due to the blockade imposed by Israel on the Gaza Strip, to the dismay of those affected.

Many Gazan families fear the same situation as in 2014. The Israeli offensive had left a landscape of devastation and reconstruction had taken years.
