He doesn’t like that the band used photography at a time when he was only four months old. Therefore, he could not agree to the use. At the same time, he claims in the lawsuit that even his legal representatives did not agree with the use of the photograph. What’s more, the band was supposed to cover the baby’s genitals with a sticker, but that never happened and the body was released without censorship.

The conflict with the band does not only focus on the ownership rights of the photograph. In the lawsuit, Elden complains that the use of photography in the title can be considered a spread of child pornography, and he himself feels a victim of sexual abuse. He sees his naked child’s body on the Internet and in shops to this day, which is said to have caused him lifelong trauma.

In 2016, Elden was photographed in the same pose as on the album cover. In the case of the album Nevermind, however, there are still doubts as to whether he is really on the cover. According to him, his father received only a few hundred dollars for the photo, and the publishing house sent him a plush toy when the album Nevermind celebrated the achievement of platinum status.
