Disappearance of Delphine Jubillar: “We did not quarrel that evening”, what her husband said during the first hearings – South West

More than eight months after her disappearance, Delphine Jubillar remains nowhere to be found. “Le Parisien” published a long story resuming the various hearings of Cédric Jubillar, the husband of the missing nurse, suspected of having killed his wife, and delivered specific elements on the unfolding of the facts known so far.

Delphine Jubillar disappears during the night of December 15 to 16, 2020. According to the newspaper, it is precisely at 4:09 and 59 seconds that Cédric Jubillar, 33, calls the gendarmes to report the disappearance of his wife. According to his account, he is woken up by his daughter’s crying a little before 4 a.m., when he realizes that his wife is no longer at home and that their two dogs are outside.

“We didn’t have a fight that night”

Crying on the phone, he claims to have been looking for his wife for “20 or 25 minutes”. The gendarme asks her if she has an extramarital affair. “I have no proof. She is on the phone in secret, she has changed her codes so we can assume that she is hiding things from me, ”he replies. The gendarme asks him if they have quarreled, to which he replies “no, no, no”, specifies that they are in the process of separating but that “things are going well”. “I can assure you that I did not go out, there was no headache with Delphine that evening, we did not have an argument that evening”.

He recognizes arguments, but they never lead to violence. He is called back by another gendarme a few minutes later who asks him if he thinks that his wife could have left the home to join a lover or if it is for him a worrying disappearance. “Technically, if she goes to her lover, she lost everything in the divorce so I don’t think she did that… After that I don’t know…”

At 4.50 am, three gendarmes from the Valderiès brigade were sent to the Jubillar home. Cedric, in his pajamas, has just put some laundry in the washing machine. The gendarmes will seize there “34 hours later” a washed duvet and four mismatched socks. Cédric explains that he washed this laundry because of one of the couple’s two dogs who would have urinated on the duvet. Duvet which was not submitted for expertise until the end of July, more than six months after the seizure, relates “The Parisian”.

A week later, during an audition, Cédric Jubillar affirms to be convinced that his wife “blew up”, “that she was gone and that she was going to come back”. He indicates that she used to take the dogs out alone “in the evening especially”, “around 11 pm or midnight”. What several testimonies contradicted, affirming that the young nurse hardly ever took out the dogs, and even less at night. The man also advances the hypothesis of a departure to jihad, but the track, verified, is evacuated.

New request for release

Cédric’s mother, Nadine Jubillar, is heard by the gendarmes on Wednesday December 16 afternoon. They ask her how she sees things. “I’m mixed,” she retorts. If she wanted to teach him a lesson, she played well. But if that’s not it, I just hope my son hasn’t done anything to him. »She does not mention the sentence pronounced in front of her by her son, at the end of October: “I’m sick of it, I’m going to kill her, I’m going to bury her, no one will find her”.

A seemingly uninsulated statement. A friend of Cédric explained that on December 12, three days before the disappearance, Cédric would have confided to him: “It’s not going well, I want to kill her. “And another witness assures us that during the summer, he told him that” if Delphine [le] leaves one day or if she finds someone, [il] will be [t] able to kill her. “

So many testimonies that weaken Cédric Jubillar’s defense. But for his lawyers, the file is “hopelessly empty”. No body, no blood, still fragile testimonies which deserve additional investigations … The investigating chamber considers that a number of elements must be consolidated. But the magistrates nevertheless pronounced the continued pre-trial detention of Cédric Jubillar. “There are serious or concordant clues making it likely that Cédric Jubillar participated as an author in the commission of the murder of his wife”, wrote the magistrates. This Tuesday, August 24, we learned that his lawyers will file a new request for release, which the Toulouse justice should examine very soon.
