On Monday, the Pentagon recommended that Biden end the evacuation on August 31 at the latest.

In line with the recommendations of his Ministry of Defense (Pentagon), US President Joe Biden has decided not to extend the date of completion of evacuations from the Afghan capital Kabul, which is set for August 31. The AP and Reuters reported this, referring to the statement of an unnamed representative of the Biden administration acquainted with the situation.
