SIS executive Vladimír Pčolinský has been in custody for almost five months, and is accused of accepting a bribe. His investigation seems to be coming to an end and he may soon be brought to justice.

The investigation of the former head of the Slovak Information Service (SIS), Vladimír Pčolinský, into corruption is nearing completion. As he informs SME diary, Pčolinský’s lawyer Ondrej Urban also confirmed it.

According to the portal, three witnesses testify against the accused, while their testimonies are to be partly the same as in the SIS alerts. According to Urban, the interrogations have ended and expert opinions are being prepared. At the moment, according to Urban, only a formal study of the file is underway. According to the portal, the police did not find any traces of Pčolinský’s DNA on the money.

As Urban added for the portal, they submitted two more proposals to supplement the evidence. He did not reveal the details.

Vladimír Pčolinský has been in custody since March 29, and is accused of accepting a bribe of 40,000 euros, which he and SIS Deputy Boris Beň were to accept from the controversial businessman Zoroslav Kollár.

In addition, he is facing another charge, according to which he allegedly accepted a bribe of 10,000 euros from a former NAKA member Marián Kučerka. In return, Pčolinský had to arrange for suspicions of tax fraud by a multinational construction company not to be resolved.
