He has six children together with four partners, of which he actually had one offspring with the first three partners, but with the fourth, Marcela Černá, he already has three children. From his marriage to Stanislava Polívková, he has the eldest daughter Kamila Polívková (46), who is originally a costume designer, but also a theater director. Daughter Anna Polívková (42), whom she has in a relationship with Evelyna Steimarová, is an actress for a change. And also his son Vladimír (32), whom he has with the French actress Chantal Poullain, is involved in acting.

The youngest three children, now teenagers – Jan (17), František Antonín (15) and Mariana (13) have a relationship with Marcela Černá, whom he married last year.
