The Afghan economy is collapsing. People are running out of money and prices are growing enormously –


While The Taliban tries in AfghanistanAs the transformation from an insurgent movement to a functioning government, the country’s economic situation is deteriorating every day. Residents lack money, there are none left in ATMs in cities, and banks remain closed, making it impossible for many people to access their savings.

Branches of international companies such as Western Union or MoneyGram, which provide money transfers, also do not work. Afghans cannot be helped by their relatives or friends from abroad. For many of them, international transfers were an important source of funding, estimated at around $ 800 million (€ 683 million) per year, accounting for four percent of Afghanistan’s gross domestic product.

The stability of the currency was ensured by tons of dollars
